2001-02 Season

Following consultation with the club we will no longer be providing reports of the games. However, we will still do previews, and show the fixture list with all the results and attendances. The reports that have been done will still be available.

Other Stuff

Match reports are available on the Official Site, the club earns money every time someone reads the report. For an alternative viewpoint, see the Links Page for the Official Website of the opposition, where there will doubtless also be a match report.

  Below is an attendance graph of all the home games (including cups), for the 2001/02 season. The purple line represents the average attendance up to that game.

Average Attendance = 1437
Lowest Attendance = 787 (19/02/02, Farnborough Town, Conference)
Highest Attendance = 2456 (26/12/01, Stevenage, Conference)

For the more statistically minded:

Median = 1370.5
Inter-quartile Range = 1282.5 to 1555.25
Standard Deviation = 387.9

It is interesting to note that the variation in attendances is smaller at the beginning and end of the season than it was in the middle.

Attendances did not increase significantly at the end of the season (in fact they were usually below average). This runs contrary to the theory that postponed games should be played at the end (when the weather is warmer - thus bigger crowds) than being re-arranged sooner. This is not proof, however, that this theory is incorrect.
