Browser
The Opera browser (www.opera.com) runs the game smoother and faster (but not too fast) than Internet Explorer. Well worth trying. Free and easy download.

Admuncher
"Eats" ads, speeding the loading of pages dramatically. Speeds Euro game loading too. Free and easy download at www.admuncher.com. There is a licence fee of about 12 quid after a 30-day free trial period.

Stats package
Those darned clever Germans have a package for tracking events as they happen – you can see who else is playing for Barnet at the same time as you, track our scores as they increase, and so on. Highly recommended for every player. Applies to classic version only. Free download at:

Don't forget to tick off 'start new season' and ‘refresh' when you open the program, and change the end of the links on the links file to L=1 from L=8.
