The BFCSA have retained last season's fare structure. But we have had to introduce a fourth Band D as it was not feasible to run coaches without it. Trips are categorised into four price bands (each band also has a concession price based on the same criteria as in the past). Obviously the longer trips will tend to fall in the higher bands, with the closer trips still starting from a standard price of just £10! Only the first five games are shown for now as the prices need to be worked out as the season goes on. Please also see our guide to away grounds. It has details on what you can, and can't, take with you (flags, drums, etc). The pricing structure is as follow:
Concessions Concessions are based on age. Under 18 year olds, and 60 plus year olds pay the concession price. Remember! I can never repeat this too often - if the information is different - the information on the ansaphone is correct! Ansaphone - Good! 2008/09 Coaches
TBC = To Be Confirmed. Introduction You will need to be a member of the BFCSA to travel on the coach. If you are not a member already you will be able to join on the day. It is only £10.00 per year. In the last 21 years, there has been only one occasion where a coach was not run. Even then, the supporters who had wanted to go were all given lifts in cars. How To BookPhone 01707 647365 and leave your details on the Answer Machine. If you are not a member already, you will be able to join on the day. Please note, if the details on the answer machine differ to those shown on this page then please go by the answer machine details. Alternatively, on match days book with the BFCSA. You can usually find the organiser (Steve Percy) in the bar after games. If you're not sure who he is then just ask anyone to point him out. If there are any remaining places then they will be sold on the day. Meeting Arrangements The coach will leave outside the Queens Arms (next to Barnet Odeon: multimap). During opening hours please meet inside the pub where you will be able to pay and enjoy a quick pint. Normally the Queens Arms operates an over 21's policy - however, the management have allocated a special area making all BFCSA members welcome prior to departure. There are presently no arrangements to meet anywhere (other than on the coach) prior to opening hours. Please note, the times shown above are when the coach is due to leave. Please aim to arrive at least twenty minutes before this. Queries If you have any queries about the coach service please feel free to email us, or leave your name and number on the Answer Machine with a brief description of your query*. Alternative pick-up and drop-off points can be arranged at the discretion of the coach organiser, but this must be arranged in advance. * It will normally be easier to leave a message on the machine as all I can do is ring the machine myself with any questions to which I don't know the answer - which will be most questions. Ed. Please Note The following rules must be observed on the coach. Any infringement may result in a ban from future coaches.
Thank you for your co-operation. Prices The coach fares have long been based on the assumption of thirty standard fares per coach, per trip. This has ensured many years where running the coach has neither lost, nor made money. The aim is to break even each season. When we introduced concession prices they worked out to roughly two-thirds of the standard price. Initially these were available only to the over-60s and under-16s. Last season we raised the junior age to under-18, in line with the club's concession age. Recognising that under-18s are more likely to go to the shorter trips, Category A concessions are now half the standard fare. Category B trips remain at two-thirds, while Category C trips are three-quarters of the standard fare. We are hoping this will encourage more families to bring their children on the coach, to enjoy a cracking day out! Steve and Ann, who run the coaches on behalf of the BFCSA, usually arrange a stop off in a nearby town to the final destination, which is always a 'family friendly' place (eg shops, restaurants, and a wide range of pubs catering to all tastes). Notes and Caveats Please note that this price structure is subject to change. The prices are based on breaking even with an average of thirty people (paying the standard price) travelling to every away game over the season. Please also note if there is sufficient demand more coaches will be run. InsuranceYour annual membership to the BFCSA includes insurance as set out below. Personal Accident Insurance Cover
