Peter Shreeves - New Manager

Everyone at the BFCSA would like to welcome Peter Shreeves and Martin Allen to Barnet Football Club. Obviously you are used to much larger clubs, but we know you will find just as much passion and enthusiasm (if not more) that you have had at your previous clubs.

Peter Shreeves is the former manager of Tottenham Hotspur who, like Barnet, are based in North London. He is regarded as one the country's top ten coaches.

Shreeves has worked with former England managers Terry Venables and Glenn Hoddle at Spurs and Chelsea. He resigned as Sheff Wednesday manager three months ago. He has also worked as coach to the Welsh international side and has an impressive CV.

In his playing days, amongst others, he played for Stevenage. Also playing for Stevenage at that time was former Manchester United player, Barry Fry. While he was assistant coach at Tottenham they played Barnet in a testimonial for Barry.

Shreeves began his managerial career at Charlton as youth coach before his first spell at Spurs as reserve team coach, first team coach and then manager.

Shreeves worked with Steve Perryman at Watford before returning to Spurs as coach to Terry Venables. He then had three years as assistant to Glenn Hoddle at Chelsea before moving to Sheff Wed as assistant to David Pleat and Ron Atkinson.

He will be joined at Underhill by former Reading assistant manager and QPR, West Ham and Portsmouth midfielder Martin Allen (pictured) as first team coach.  Paul Wilson will now be assistant coach.
