barnet

Barnet travel to Fisher Athletic in the third round of the FA Umbro Trophy with a number of players back in the squad. Mark Gower returns after he was rested for the 2-0 LDV Vans Trophy semi-final defeat to Cambridge, whilst Mark Taylor also makes a comeback to the first-team squad.

boston united

Boston travel to Northwich Victoria on Saturday for the FA Umbro Trophy third round, but all eyes are on the promotion campaign. Striker Daryl Clare said: “It’s going really well and there’s every chance we’ll get promotion. But Dagenham will be favourites because they’ve been up there the last few seasons.”

chester city

Mark Wright gets his chance to make an impact at Chester when he takes control for the FA Umbro Trophy match against Stourport. After the 2-1 home defeat to Northwich Victoria in midweek, Wright told the Chester Evening Leader: “There’s got to be at least five players who have to come in now. ”

dagenham & redbridge

Dagenham & Redbridge have a full squad to choose from for their FA Umbro Trophy third round match at home to Eastbourne Borough. Midfielder Tim Cole is available, while veteran striker Ken Charlery returns for Garry Hill’s side after suffering from a cold.

doncaster rovers

Doncaster’s board of directors have terminated the contracts of chief executive Joe Hoggins and manager Steve Wignall because of severe financial difficulties. Rovers, who take on local team Harrogate Town in the FA Umbro Trophy third round, are in 10th position in the Nationwide Conference.

dover athletic

New Dover boss Neville Southall takes his team to Stevenage in the FA Umbro Trophy third round. Southall will definitely be without the suspended Jimmy Strouts, but he will be hoping that experienced striker Keith Scott recovers from a slight knock he sustained last weekend.

farnborough town

Farnborough have no injury worries ahead of Saturday’s FA Umbro Trophy match at home to Carshalton Athletic. Manager Graham Westley has even made four players available for loan recently, including Tim O’Shea and Mark Harper, because of the healthy state of Town’s squad.

forest green rovers

Forest Green Rovers face a tricky FA Umbro Trophy tie as they take on Ryman Premier Division side Aldershot Town on Sunday. Aldershot currently lie fourth in their division and recently took Bristol Rovers to a replay in the FA Cup first round, losing by a single goal.

hayes

Hayes travel to fellow Nationwide Conference side Margate for the third round of the FA Umbro Trophy on Saturday. Terry Brown will be without Matthew Gray, Mark Molesley and Dominic Sterling who are all suspended for the match. Margate won 1-0 when the teams met in the Conference in October.

hereford united

Hereford will be without the suspended Scott Goodwin when they visit Chesham in the third round of the FA Umbro Trophy. Goodwin starts his two-match ban for a red card against Stalybridge, but coach Phil Robinson is hoping that Ian Rodgerson will return after injury.

leigh rmi

Leigh RMI manager Steve Waywell has outlined the importance of Saturday’s FA Umbro Trophy third round match against Emley. A lack of games recently have reduced the club’s income, and Waywell said: “Although I view the league as more important, the game against Emley is also vital to the club.”

margate

Margate boss Chris Kinnear has a full-strength squad to choose from for the visit of Hayes in the third round of the FA Umbro Trophy on Saturday. Following last weekend’s morale-boosting 2-1 victory over Farnborough, Kinnear can name an unchanged team for the clash.

morecambe

Morecambe manager Jim Harvey has only one player missing for the FA Umbro Trophy tie against Kings Lynn. Experienced defender Andy Fensome is suspended for the visit of the Dr Martens Premier League side, who will be hoping to equal last season’s achievement of reaching the fourth round.

northwich victoria

Northwich Victoria boss Jimmy Quinn is confident his team can secure their place in the Conference long before the end of the campaign. Quinn, whose team face high-flying Boston in the FA Umbro Trophy on Saturday, said: “We can’t stop worrying until we’ve got the right amount of points, but we’re heading in the right direction.”

nuneaton borough

Nuneaton take on Stalybridge in the third round of the FA Umbro Trophy but manager Steve Burr will be without at least one player. Marc McGregor, a 23-year-old striker, is definitely out through injury, whilst Dave Crowley is doubtful and will undergo a late fitness test.

scarborough

Scarborough boss Russell Slade has four players out for the third round FA Umbro Trophy match against Hednesford. Borough take on the Dr Martens Premier Division side without Adam Jewell (injured), Danny Brunton (injured), Marcus Jones (ill) and Mark Patterson (suspended).

southport

Southport club captain Martin Clark is out of the FA Umbro Trophy third round match at home to Gresley due to a one-match sus-pension. Apart from Clark’s absence, Southport should be at full strength as both Simon Parke and Lee Elam are expected to be fit after suffering slight knocks..

stalybridge celtic

Stalybridge have a full-strength squad available when they face Nuneaton in the FA Umbro Trophy third round. Manager Paul Futcher has no injuries or suspensions to contend with, and is hoping his side can record their first victory since November 10, 2001 against Steve Burr’s men.

stevenage borough

Stevenage should have a full-strength squad to pick from when they take on fellow Conference team Dover in the FA Umbro Trophy third round. Manager Paul Fairclough will have late fitness tests carried out on defenders John Dreyer and Robin Trott, but both players should be okay.

telford united

Telford United boss Jake King has warned his players not to underestimate Saturday’s FA Umbro Trophy opponents Ilkeston Town. King said: “It goes without saying that there won’t be any room for complacency at Ilkeston. But we’re confident enough without being complacent.”

woking

Woking boss Geoff Chapple comes up against former club Kingstonian in the FA Umbro Trophy third round. Chapple has a full squad to choose from other than the suspended Barry Moore, and will be hoping to beat the team that was relegated from the Conference last season.

yeovil town

Yeovil Town have announced that 21-year-old striker James Bent has joined Dr Martens Western League side Chippenham Town for a nominal fee. Yeovil boss Gary Johnson said: “James has gone to a club where he will be playing first-team football week in, week out.”
