February 2002
barnet
Barnet boss John Still has no fresh injury concerns for
the clash against Stalybridge at Underhill. After their
FA Umbro Trophy exit against Scarborough in midweek,
Still is hoping the Bees can bounce back in positive
fashion. He said: "We've got a run of games coming
up which we need to try and win as we want to get on a
run again."
boston united
Boston manager Steve Evans will have three players
missing for the trip to lowly Scarborough. Paul Ellender
is serving a three-match suspension after 13 yellow cards
this season while Jez Murphy (hamstring) and Peter
Costello (knee) are also set to miss out. Evans said:
"The remaining games are like cup finals for
us."
chester city
Chester manager Mark Wright has just one injury worry
ahead of the long trip to face Margate. Defender Iain
Jenkins sustained a thigh injury during the reserves' 1-0
victory against Northwich Victoria's second string in
midweek and is facing a six-week spell on the sidelines.
dagenham & redbridge
Garry Hill could put loan signing Dean Hooper straight
into the side to face Farnborough at Victoria Road.
Right-back Hooper has joined the Daggers from
Peterborough on a one-month loan deal. Hill has a
full-strength squad to choose from after Ken Charlery
completed a one-match ban last week.
doncaster rovers
Dave Penney will make two changes to the side that beat
Stevenage two weeks ago when Doncaster travel to Forest
Green. Tim Ryan and Neil Campbell are suspended, so Barry
Miller and Robert Gill take their places in the starting
line-up. Penney admitted: "Forest Green's not the
easiest place to go to."
dover athletic
Dover manager Neville Southall has reported no new
injuries or suspensions ahead of their long trip to
Northwich. The only person missing is midfielder Neil Le
Bihan, who is in the process of building up his fitness
after injury but he is not expected to take part in the
game.
farnborough town
Graham Westley will welcome back two players for the
daunting trip to Dagenham & Redbridge. Christian Lee

game of his three-match suspension.
forest green rovers
Nigel Spink has lost two players to injury as he prepares
for the visit of Doncaster. Mark Shaw (knee ligaments)
and Nathan Lightbody (broken leg) have both been ruled
out. Spink said: "We've been on a bit of an unbeaten
run, now all that's missing from our season are a few
home victories."
hayes
Hayes boss Terry Brown has welcomed his side's enforced
break from action. Brown's men have not played since
January 29 due to the bad weather but the lack of action
has allowed the club to get several players, including
Matthew Gray and Dave Everitt, back towards full fitness
following injuries.
hereford united
Hereford goalkeeper Scott Cooksey is set to undergo fur
ther surger y in a bid to clear up his troublesome wrist
injury. The 29-year-old former Derby and Peterborough
stopper, who signed on a free transfer in August 2000,
will have another operation after missing the whole
season because of his injury.
leigh rmi
Leigh boss Steve Waywell expects to have a vir tually
fully-fit squad for the trip to Hereford. Midfielder
Gerry Harrison is set to return to the side after missing
the 2-0 FA Trophy defeat at Margate last week. Waywell
said: "We'll be more or less at full strength, but
it will be a very tough game."
margate
Margate manager Chris Kinnear has two injury doubts ahead
of the home clash with Chester. Jay Saunders has a groin
injury and Darren Brown an ankle problem and both players
are rated as "very doubtful" by Kinnear.
Midfielder Lee Williams and defender Simon Beard are
still suspended.
morecambe
Morecambe will almost be at full strength for the crucial
clash with fellow high-flyers Yeovil. Ian Arnold and
Chris Lightfoot are both fit to return from injury but
manager Jim Harvey may be tempted to stick with a winning
side following the 5-0 victory over Gresley in the FA
Umbro Trophy last week.
northwich victoria
Northwich manager Jimmy Quinn is expected to be without
just one player when bottom side Dover visit Drill Field.
Defender Gary Burke is suspended for the game after
accumulating 11 yellow cards so far this season. Quinn
has an otherwise fully fit squad for the game and said
they are all "raring to go".
nuneaton borough
Manager Steve Burr is aiming to bring in a replacement
for goalkeeper Ryan Young in time for Borough's trip to
Stalybridge on Februar y 16. Burr has sold Young to
Hucknall Town and is already lining up two players with a
view to a possible signing - but says he will not rush
into a decision.
scarborough
Scarborough boss Russell Slade will have defender Shaun
Rennison missing for the home clash with Boston. Rennison
starts the first of a two-match suspension following his
sending off during the 1-1 draw at Margate. There are
also doubts over Gareth Stoker and Marcus Jones, who are
both struggling with knee injuries.
southport
Southport boss Phil Wilson welcomes John Robertson back
into his squad for the trip to Telford. Robertson is back
after serving a suspension and may be joined by striker
Steve Whitehall. The 25-year-old has been struggling with
an ankle knock but Wilson is hopeful he will be fit to
play.
stalybridge celtic
Stalybridge will be without the suspended Steve Pickford
as they make the trip to Underhill to face Barnet. Leigh
Walker is available after being cup-tied for the FA Umbro
Trophy win against Mangotsfield while Adie Mike is hoping
to overcome a calf injury. Matty Woods is out with a
hamstring injury.
stevenage borough
Stevenage boss Paul Fairclough has two injury doubts for
the game with Woking at Broadhall Way. Robin Trott is
struggling with a hamstring injury while John Dreyer may
miss out with a calf problem. Tony Shields and Martin
Williams should be fit to play after illness this week.
telford united
Telford boss Jake King has a full squad to choose from as
his side host Southport at Bucks Head. Lee Fowler and
Richard Scott have both returned to full training after
long-term injuries but neither may be ready to start.
King said: "We want to finish in the top six which
would be a magnificent achievement."
woking
Woking boss Geoff Chapple is set to name an unchanged
side for the away trip to Stevenage. The Cardinals have
no fresh injuries or suspension worries and Chapple is
looking forward to the clash. He said: "It's a tough
one but it's going to be a bit special as there's a lot
of rivalry between the sides."
yeovil town
Darren Way is fit again and could return to the Yeovil
squad as they look to extend their unbeaten run at
Morecambe, although Gary Johnson is unlikely to change a
winning side. The Glovers boss said: "My selection
goes hand-in-hand with our form and the team is picking
itself at the moment."
