Gills Independent Supporters Club

The following has been reproduced from a leaflet produced by the Gillingham Supporters' Club. The contents are endorsed by the National Federation of Supporters' Clubs.

"Dear Gills Supporter,

We have asked for the right to reply to the inaccurate article penned by Gillingham Football Club Chairman Paul Scally in the Barnsley programme of 25th August 2001.

As we have not been granted this right we feel obligated to write to you personally.

Let's get the facts straight!

  • Paul Scally said that our name was confusing and he had not been offered an alternative.
WRONG! - He has been told and we have already changed our name.

  • He also said that all of the GISC funds (totalling almost £23,000) has been donated to African causes.
WRONG! - In fact £1,340.43 has been spent on football kit and equipment for the INTERMILLA GILLS under 11's of Ghana.

On numerous occasions GISC has asked to fund specific projects for the benefit of Gillingham Football Club - We have never received a reply.

At the first Fans Forum Paul Scally demanded that the website www.gillinghamfc.co.uk be given over to Gillingham Football Club and implied that it had lost the Club £600,000 already...

  • FACT: Alan Liptrott is the legal owner of the domain name and has offered to transfer it over to the Club in exchange for his exclusion order being lifted and for GISC being recognised in a harmonious relationship with Gillingham Football Club.

  • FACT: This allegation has not been substantiated.
Just when will Mr Scally provide the proof?

We are very concerned that Alan Liptrott is still excluded from Priestfield.

Why?

All allegations made against Alan by the Gillingham FC Chairman are without any foundation.

We say: PROVIDE THE PROOF OR LIFT THE BAN NOW!
