- No longer with
club.
- Out on loan, see
below for more details.
- Mark Byrne signed
after two earlier loan spells in the 1011 season.
His last SA from his first spell was on
20/11/2010 with 18 starts, 1 substitution and 4
goals (with squad number 16, which was issued to
Anthony Pulis before Byrne rejoined). He made his
first SA in his second spell on 05/03/2011 and
last on 07/05/2011 with 29 starts, 2
substitutions and 6 goals. His first appearance
in his third spell was 06/08/2011.
- Jake Hyde signed
after a previous spell with Barnet. His last SA
from his first spell was on 13/04/2010 with 20
starts and 19 substitutions, and 7 goals. His
first appearance in his second spell was
14/08/2012.
- Barry Fuller signed
after a previous spell with Barnet. His last SA
from his first spell was on 22/04/2006 with 15
starts and 0 substitutions, and 1 goal. His first
appearance in his second spell was 21/08/2012.

Notes on the missing numbers...
- Regarding the
missing numbers, 23, 24 and 28. Note that Allen
(22) wasn't announced until he appeared as a sub
in November. He is a youth player. The highest
number to date was up in the high-thirties by
that point (Davids (38) I think).
- Presumably some or
all of these numbers have been issued to other
youth players but not published.
- Wikipedia's Barnet
article
once showed Senda as 28 but didn't show a source
for this. Therefore I've not reflected it here.
On 20/02/2013 this is no longer shown.
- Similarly, on
20/02/2013 Wikipedia's Barnet
article
shows 23 as Kamal Guthmy and 24 as Jamal Hackett.
These are both youth players. However, the source
is not shown so I've not reflected it here.
- Although see my
previous note about Allen, it is quite possibly
correct. They have both appeared in the Herts
Senior Cup this season so maybe they have to be
registered as first-team players to do so. But in
that case, so did James Charles, Zach Khlaf and
Ishmael Thomas. Apart from 28, there are no
missing numbers for them, although it is possible
that numbers for players who had left before the
Ware game on 19/12/2012 were allocated to them.
Except that Dillon Barnes was an unused sub in
that match - he has since been allocated 35,
which belonged to Andy Iro at the time - so that
disproves that theory. I think.
- If anyone knows any
more about this then please let me know! info@bfcsa.co.uk
Player News
Below is a list of links
to news stories concerning the players' positions with
the club. These are mostly links to the official site.
PLEASE NOTE: as of 01 August 2012 the club published a
redesigned website. It seems none of the below links (up
to that date) work any more. Some of the stories have
re-appeared with new links (the one for signing Jon Nurse
for example) but I doubt very much they have all
transferred across. Please take my word for it that the
below information was taken from the Official Site from a
story published on the date shown. John Snow, Website
Editor.

manager. No one is ruled out at present.
25 May 2012: Paul Fairclough: "[Martin
Allen] has applied for the job amongst a lot of other
applicants. Once I've found a couple of suitable
candidates, I'll introduce those people to the
chairman." [BBC]
10 Jun 2012: Mark Robson has been appointed as
The Bees' new Head Coach. [He will] oversee the First
Team in a restructuring of the club's football set-up.
22 Jun 2012: Robson: If we can get some young,
fresh up-and-coming players and hopefully if we can get
the right deals going we can get a few experienced
players that would benefit the younger lads. We have been
speaking to a lot of players and my phone hasn't stopped
ringing. So hopefully we can get a few deals over the
line and introduce them to the club [Barnet Times].
27 Jun 2012: All of the coaching staff who
were in charge of First Team matters last season ... have
left the club officially as of today. Includes Guiliano

well as other members of the medical, coaching and
backroom staff.
28 Jun 2012: MR: "We are still in talks
with players but it is looking good. We are making
progress and hopefully we will have a few by the end of
this week. [Appointing a number two] will be completed
very shortly as well. [Hopefully] by the end of this
week." [Barnet Times]
12 Jul 2012: MR: "The side [in the

17 Aug 2012: MR indicated that his search to add
players to the squad is far from over. He is primarily looking for
players that can add something to the squad "one
that fits the bill" and perhaps with the squad being
such a young one experience would be an asset, but
primarily they need to be the right player.
05 Sep 2012: TK: We now have a larger budget
than ever before [and are] embarking on an exciting new
phase of signings.
22 Sep 2012: TK: I hope to announce a couple

alongside Kenny Brown. Together they will oversee the new
Under 21 Development squad which now contains a number of
first team regulars.
25 Oct 2012: MR: We still want to strengthen
and bring in one or two more players of real quality to
strengthen the squad and give us other options across the
pitch. Hopefully
we will do that in the next few weeks. We will look to
strengthen in the areas we need to. I think maybe in the
wider areas. So we will possibly look in that area but we
are always on the lookout for quality players, no matter
what position because we still need to strengthen the
squad.
03 Dec 2012: Tom Donati is an U18 coach.
27 Dec 2012: Robson has left following

Coach) left at end of contract.

Names
I use the names as they
appear on the Barnet programmes. There are some
inconsistencies in the names that the players use on
their shirts and what appears on other sites and papers.
These include
- Luke Gambin:
sometimes spelt Ganbin on BBC (Press Association)
report.
Sources
Appearances
The appearance details
on this page usually come from the the details on the
match reports that are published on the BBC. If any of
these are disputed then I shall seek clarification from
the club.
Still with Club?
Whether or not a player
is with the club is taken from the official website. There are sometimes players
where there has been no announcement from the club -
usually fringe players. I do keep an eye on this and
occasionally contact the club to clarify. See notes below
for more information about this. Players who leave the
club without making an appearance remain on this list
until the end of the season but do not subsequently
appear on the past players' stats.
Squad Number
Both the Home programmes
and official
website. This is
the squad number allocated to the player for the current
season, presently 2008/09.
If two players have the
same squad number this is where a player coming into the
squad is issued with a number of a player who has already
left. I occasionally contact the club to clarify where
there seems to be a mistake on either the site or the
programme (which is indeed what it has always turned out
to be so far!)
Names
I use the names as they
appear on the Barnet programmes. There are sometimes
inconsistencies in the names that the players use on
their shirts and what appears on other sites and papers.
Any comments?
If you think I may have
overlooked something, especially if you have some
evidence you can cite (such as a link to an authorative
website), then I should be grateful if you contact me on info@bfcsa.co.uk
Thanks, John Snow,
Website Editor.
Notes
Play Off Games
Play-off games are treated as League games for the
purposes of these stats.
Penalties after
Extra Time
Goals scored as penalties after extra time are not
counted. (Should they be? I don't think they are
generally with these sort of stats? info@bfcsa.co.uk if you have any thoughts on the matter.)
No Squad Number
Players without a squad number (?) have been announced as
registered with the club (see below for more information
about this) at some point in the present season. For
example, Tim Trebes (2007/08 season) was called upon as
an emergency sub goalie when one of the regular goalies
was out injured. He was registered with Barnet even
though he played for a different club in a lower league.
Player Still
With Club?
You'd think this was easy. But like most things
in life, it's not that simple once you start looking into
it. The below is based on my understanding of the
situation, but please don't take it as gospel - and if
you can clarify anything, or point out any errors, then
I'd be pleased to hear from you on info@bfcsa.co.uk
When the squad numbers
are announced, usually in July, there is a nice clean
list to go by. But as the season progresses various
players may be registered without contracts; typically
these will be free-agents and trainee players (from the
Hive).
The way I understand it,
a player has to be registered with the club to play for
the club. However, they don't have to be contracted
to the club. In theory a player can be registered to the
club indefinitely even though neither the player nor the
club has any intention of them playing. The player would
only need to be de-registered if another club in the
same league wanted to register them. It would seem
silly to consider such players as 'with the club'.
So, in the above list, a
player is considered to still be 'with the club' if:
- They are contracted
to the club; or
- They have been
given a squad number and the season has yet to
finish
A player is not
considered to still be with the club if:
- They have been
released; or
- They are not
contracted to the club, the season has finished
and the new squad numbers have not been announced
(typically between May and July).
- They never had a
squad number (or it wasn't published) and the
season has finished (typically between May and
July). Usually trainee players.
- Their squad number
is being used by a different (more recent)
player.
All the above scenarios
are caveated with "unless there is reason to believe
otherwise".
An example of this is if
they have appeared on the squad list on the back of
Barnet programmes but no longer do so, although there has
otherwise been no official confirmation from the club.
Not all players who have been issued squad numbers appear
on the programme squad list so their absence does not
necessarily mean they are not part of the squad. (I said
it was complicated didn't I?)
Many thanks to Kev
Mullen from whose explanations, and patient answers to my
questions, the above has been derived.
Note that this article on the official site, published on 10 May 2010, says
that successful candidates for the 16-18 Football
Education Programme (in partnership with Stanmore
College) will be registered as a Barnet FC player
(non-contract). I presume the same goes for the scholars
also mentioned in that article. While these students and
scholars would satisfy the criteria above (ie they are
registered as players) the lack of other information
about them means it would be pointless to attempt to
include them on this page.
Career Goals
Percentage
This page includes the Goals percentage column
that is on the season stats page. The same caveats apply.
Namely, for those players who have scored, it is the
percentage of goals compared to appearances. So if a
player has scored two goals in four appearances then it
will be 50%. It is not the percentage of appearances in
which they have scored as in the previous example those
two goals may have been scored in the same game.
Similarly, it does not
discriminate between starts and came on as sub (or
replaced by a sub). The excel sheet I use for this is not
that sophisticated.
Note that the figure is
rounded to the nearest percentage.
First SA
This is the date the player made their first
Senior Appearance (ie in the first team). This includes
either a start or came on as sub in either a league or
cup game, including the Football League (Johnstone's
Paint) Trophy but not including the Herts Senior Cup.
This is no indication as
to the date the player actually joined the club.
Last SA
This is the date the player made their last
Senior Appearance. This is no indication as to the date
the player actually left the club.
Lee Harrison's
Stats
Note that
his first spell's stats have been corrected from 09
September 2007 as it was realised there was a mistake on
this site. The previous error was due to an incorrect
figure published in (or copied from) a Barnet programme
some years ago, which was used for his stats on this site
up till that point. Lee's stats have now been checked
through the various Football Year Books, past Barnet
programmes, and Steve Percy's meticulous records. They
also agree with the club's own records.
The Soccerbase website
also shows different figures, including a bogus
substitute appearance against Stalybridge Celtic in
2001/02. Their figures are wrong.
Other
Information
We have all the games played since the 1965/66
season on this site. It would be nice to list all the
players that have played for the club. But although I
believe the records exist, it could be too high a
mountain to climb.
If there are any stats
you would like to see, or have any comments on either the
above suggestions or the stats already shown, please email me.
