BFCSA Transition to a Trust – Progress Report 3

This is the third update on this site about the transition to a Trust.

At the BFCSA Special General Meeting held in the Pavilion of Thursday 13 October the postal vote when combined with those who voted on the night resulted in an overwhelming decision to convert the association to a trust.

The vote was overseen by the independent invigilator Neil Le Milliere, a director of the Exeter City Trust and a director of Supporters Direct. James Mathie the Development Manager of Supporters Direct who has given the BFCSA committee significant advice also attended the meeting.

After the result of the vote was announced both Neil and James participated in a question and answer session demonstrating to members that with careful management the new trust can grow to become a superb asset for Barnet FC.

The trust will now be registered with the Financial Services Authority following which supporters will be invited to become members of the new trust. A trust launch night will be held in January when the members will participate in an election to create the first trust board of directors.
