BFCSA Chairman Resigns

The BFCSA Committee announce that Chairman Keith Doe has resigned from his post with Immediate effect.

Keith had been Chairman for the past two seasons but feels that with his work commitments that he cannot continue to lead the Association.

Keith has been instrumental in developing the Association over the past few years, and will be missed as an important part of the committee. Following the announcement at Monday's committee meeting, former Chairman Mark Ashfield proposed a vote of thanks to Keith for all his hard work, something that was unanimously agreed with by all committee members.

At present, Alex Jones, Vice Chairman, steps up in a temporary capacity to fill the void until full election of a new Chairman at next month's meeting. This though will not stop the committee working hard in the closed season to continue to develop and expand, so that we can offer our members even more and play an even bigger part as a fans' representatives around Underhill and within wider footballing circles.

Like the Club's aim for 1,000 season ticket holders, the BFCSA has targeted a membership of at least 500, so that we can continue to run social events, increase Match Day enjoyment and strengthen our position as the voice of the fans. We continue to wish for members to pass us their ideas and constructive comments, and should anyone believe they could offer their time to the committee we would love to hear from you.

In the mean time enjoy the closed season, transfer rumours and Euro Championships and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our AGM on the 3rd July in the Durham Suite, Underhill.
