2006/07 Season

Cup Games

Herts Senior Cup

Barnet were the champions this season. The first time since the 1995-96 season. We beat Hemel Hempstead Town in the final 4-2 in the final, played at the County Ground, Letchworth on Tuesday 17 April. (Link is to Herts FA Website - there's a mouth watering photo of the venue).

We beat Bishop's Stortford in the semi-final at their place, 2-0. The road to the final also included beating Hertford Town 1-0 at their place, in the 3rd Round. After four attempts we finally beat Welwyn Garden City at their place 4-0 in the 2nd Round. We got a bye to the 2nd Round.

FA Cup

We were knocked out of the 4th round by Plymouth Argyle at home. This was the first time in our history to have got this far.

We beat Colchester United 2-1 in the third round, Northampton Town 4-1 in the second round and Gainsborough Trinity 3-1 in the first round.

Johnstone's Paint Trophy

We were kncoked out in the second round by Cheltenham Town. We beat Notts County away in the first round. Further round dates below for information, but will be deleted as they pass. Official website; Sponsor's Site

League Cup

We were knocked out by Leeds United in the second round, after beating Cardiff City 2-0 in the first round.

Where cup games clash with league games (or other cup games) I think the following priorities are observed (with the lessor game being rearranged):

The club are not running a reserve team this season.
