BFCSA Message to Flitney and Soares The BFCSA would like to say, on behalf on all Barnet fans, that our sympathies go to Ross Flitney for his wrongful dismissal against Manchester United on Wednesday. We can't imagine how Ross is feeling at the moment but we are all gutted for him. Ross's apology was appreciated but we would like to state that no blame is lies on Ross and he cannot be held responsible for our defeat on Wednesday. It was a poor referring decision and not Ross's fault that we were reduced to 10 men. In Ross's words, 'his dreams were shattered' on Wednesday night and we hope that he will get another chance to play at Old Trafford in the future. We also sympathise with Louie Soares and the same applies to him too - we hope Louie will get another chance to play at the Theatre of Dreams. We are sure that all Barnet fans would like to thank the players for a magnificent performance and a great day out. We are pleased to see that the FA have vindicated the view of the club and the fans by rescinding the red card. We feel that this confirms our point that Ross should not have been sent off and Mr. Beeby made the wrong decision'. |
