  The Season So Far

Telford didn't get off to the best of starts and took six games before winning, 3-1 at our neighbours Stevenage.Their first home three pointer was 2-0 against Southport the game after our 3-0 trouncing of them back in September.

But, low and behold, it's happened again, a few games before the men from Underhill take their positions on the Bucks Head Turf, they have discovered their form and are top the 'current form' table following a 1-0 win at home to Northwich Victoria last weekend.

Meanwhile Barnet seem to be on a self-destuction course hoping to get into the Rymans League based on performance rather than the capacity of the ground.

A very disappointing result up at Nuneaton, with the age old problem of not being able to defend corners, was witnessed by the Barnet faithful.

The only highlight being when I managed to break the drumskin with some over enthusiastic military drumming! (sorry about that!)

Phil's Prediction
Telford 2 Barnet 1

If They're Picked... (New feature!)

I don't know if this will be worth the hassle (the words "barrel" and "scraping" come to mind ;-) but below are a list of players who - IF THEY'RE PICKED - will be starting an anniversary game. In other words, it will be their nth start where n is divisible by 10.

Player   Could be their nth start
HEALD Greg 220
TOMS Frazer 80
STREVENS Ben 70
PURSER Wayne 50
NAISBITT Danny 40
POPE Craig 20

Hmmm... well, we'll see how it goes. For more details, see the career appearances of the current squad page.

Coach

The coach leaves at ten o'clock from the usual place. This is an hour earlier than previously advertised. We are visiting the town of Ironbridge on the way - which is famous for its bridge that is spookily made out of... That's right, iron!

See the coach page for more info.

Did You Know?

Telford won the FA Trophy in 1970/71, 82/83 and 88/89.

In 1971/72 they lost to Barnet 1-0 in the semi-final played at Northampton Town. Dickie Plume scored the penalty that took the Bees to Wembley, only to lose 3-0 to Stafford Rangers. (Hey Phil, this was on the home preview as well - Ed)
