BARNET
Barnet's injury crisis shows little sign of letting up
ahead of their clash with struggling Telford United at
Underhill. Manager Peter Shreeves will be hoping his
under-strength side can repeat the battling performance
that saw them come from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw at
Margate on Tuesday.
BURTON ALBION
Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough hopes to welcome back
defender Mark Blount for his side's home clash with Chris
Wilder's Halifax. Blount missed Albion's 3-2 defeat by
Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday with a foot injury
sustained against Telford. Clough said: "We played
very well on Tuesday, and we will be looking for three
points."
CHESTER
Chester City boss Mark Wright has a virtually
fullstrength squad to choose from ahead of lowly Leigh's
visit to the Deva Stadium. Only long-term absentee Phil
Bolland is a definite non-starter, having only resumed
training a week ago following a broken foot sustained in
pre-season.
DAG & RED
Dagenham boss Garry Hill hopes to field an unchanged
line-up as his side look to return to winning ways at
Doncaster. His only doubt is defender Ross Johnson, who
limped out of Tuesday night's defeat at home to Nuneaton
with a hip injury. Should Johnson fail to make the trip
Lee Goodwin, who replaced him in the second half on
Tuesday, will deputise.
DONCASTER
Conference leaders Doncaster have a slight doubt over
striker Justin Jackson as they prepare to host Dagenham
at Belle Vue. Jackson came off during the first half of
Tuesday's 1-0 win over Kettering, and manager Dave Penney
will run the rule over him before naming his starting XI.
FARNBOROUGH
Farnborough boss Graham Westley is set to name an
unchanged side for the trip to high-flying Southport. The
club are looking to bounce back from Tuesday's defeat at
Yeovil which was further marred by the dismissal of
Westley to the stands. Westley wants more goals from his
side at the weekend after just five so far this season.
FOREST GREEN
Forest Green can lift themselves from the foot of the
Nationwide Conference table with a win at Morecambe on
Saturday. Boss Colin Addison marked his first game in
charge with a 3-2 win over Burton Albion, and aims to
make it back-to-back victories. He welcomes back Steve
Jenkins from suspension and Kevin Langan from a knee
injury.
GRAVESEND
Gravesend are without Liam Hatch and Mark Bentley for
their home clash with Nuneaton. Hatch is suspended for
his sending off at Stevenage, while Bentley sustained an
injury during the home defeat by Southport. Both players
missed the midweek win at Woking, in which Che Stadhart
scored a hat-trick, and are ruled out again.
HALIFAX
Halifax manager Chris Wilder has a fully-fit squad to
choose from as he prepares to take his men to Burton.
Wilder is likely to keep faith with the line-up that
grabbed a welcome 2-1 victory against Scarborough on
Tuesday, the Shaymen's first win since the opening day of
the season. He said: "We've had them watched and
we're confident."
HEREFORD
Hereford's away game at Woking is taking place on Monday,
September 9 and will be live on Sky TV. Children can get
into the game for £1 and there will also be pre-match
and half-time entertainment to keep the crowd happy. The
game begins at 7.45pm at Kingfield Stadium.
KETTERING
Kettering boss Carl Shutt is set to field a largely
unchanged side for the trip to face Scarborough in what
could already be termed a relegation battle. Shutt will
be hoping for a positive result following Tuesday's
defeat at Doncaster but is still without Lee Howarth who
is suffering from a calf injury.
LEIGH RMI
Leigh RMI manager Steve Waywell will wait until the last
minute before naming his side to face high-flying Chester
at the Deva Stadium. Defender Dominic Ludden (back) and
midfielder Gerry Harrison (knee) are his main concerns,
with Waywell describing the pair's chances as "very
doubtful". Waywell added: "Chester are a
quality side and we will have to be at our best."
MARGATE
Margate boss Chris Kinnear could be without several
influential players for the home game against Stevenage.
Iain O'Connell broke his leg against Barnet on Tuesday,
while Graham Porter, Jake Leberl and Charlie MacDonald
all face late fitness tests. John Keister will also be
missing after being called up by Sierra Leone.
MORECAMBE
Morecambe boss Jim Harvey is set to name an unchanged
line-up for the fourth successive game as he prepares for
the home clash with Forest Green. The club will be
looking to bounce back from Tuesday's defeat at Chester
and have reported no new injuries or suspensions.
NORTHWICH
Northwich Victoria boss Jimmy Quinn will be without David
McNiven for the tough trip to high-flying Yeovil. The
striker damaged ankle ligaments during the home defeat by
Doncaster last weekend and will not be available. But
Quinn has no other injury worries or suspensions to
contend with.
NUNEATON
Nuneaton defender Barry Williams is manager Steve Burr's
only concern ahead of Borough's trip south to face
Gravesend. Williams limped off after just 15 minutes of
his side's surprise 2-1 win at Dagenham with a groin
strain, and faces a fitness check before Burr names his
line-up.
SCARBOROUGH
Scarborough boss Russell Slade is set to ring the changes
for the clash against Kettering after Tuesday's
disappointing defeat at Halifax. Midfielder Nick Henry
and defender Steve Baker begin their three-match
suspensions but there are no new injury problems, with
Jason Blunt ready to return to action.
SOUTHPORT
Southport boss Phil Wilson has a number of injury
headaches ahead of the home game against Farnborough.
Club captain Steve Soley has suffered a setback in his
recovery from injury while John Robertson and Gary
Bauress sustained calf and hamstring injuries
respectively on Tuesday night. Also doubtful are Chris
Lane (ankle) and Steve Pickford (knee).
STEVENAGE
Stevenage boss Wayne Turner is set to field a largely
unchanged side for the visit to Margate. Turner will be
hoping to improve on Monday's 3-1 home defeat at the
hands of Telford and is boosted by the return of
midfielder Matt Fisher from injury.
TELFORD
Telford manager Jake King will be without son Jordan for
the trip to Underhill to face Barnet. King jnr serves a
one-match suspension in what is likely to be United's
only change to the side that earned their first win of
the season at Stevenage on Monday.
WOKING
Woking's away fixture with Doncaster Rovers scheduled for
Saturday, November 30 has been moved to accommodate for
television coverage. The game will now take place a day
later on Sunday, December 1 and will be live on Sky TV
with a 4.05pm start at Belle Vue.
YEOVIL
Yeovil boss Gary Johnson could be missing up to four
players due to injury for the home game against
Northwich. Johnson is still without long-term injury
victim Adam Stansfield and has lost Tom White to a knee
problem. Anthony Tonkin (back) and Howard Forinton (knee)
face late fitness tests.
