Interview with Tony Kleanthous - Part 2

Part two of a three-part interview with Barnet FC Chairman, Tony Kleanthous.

Questions about Underhill and the search for a new ground.

If you haven't read part 1 yet then Tony shares his thoughts on a wide range of subjects from "what is amber?" to North Korean nuclear testing. 27/06/2009

AGM and TK Interview

The BFCSA Annual General Meeting is to take place on Thursday 09 July.

Further details to be announced but it will be at the club and we are hoping to have someone from the club to speak afterwards.

The TK Interview took place and was very successful. It is being edited at the moment.

But someone's A-Levels are taking priority at the moment; we expect to have it online within the next few weeks. 14/06/2009

Player of the Year - John O'Flynn

Goal scoring machine John O'Flynn received the most votes from the Barnet faithful to be crowned the Barnet FC Player of the Year 2008/09.

In 2nd place was Albert Adomah, and 3rd was Neil Bishop.

The goal of the year was Ashley Carew's from-his-own-half opener of the season against Chesterfield.

The Young Player award went to Albert Adomah.

The most improved player of the year went to Nicky Deverdics.

The youth BFCSA player of the year was Gary Breen.

And finally, but certainly not leastly, the Lester Finch award went to Dick Rolfe for his decades (yes, decades!) of service on the tannoy!

A fuller article will follow. 04/05/2009

Congratulations to:

- Michael Leary for his 50th Barnet start.
- Danny Hart for his first Barnet goal.

Apologies for yesterday's late April fool. Ryan Burge did not in fact make his league debut. I don't know what the BBC are thinking of. If you can't trust Auntie then what is the world coming to? Thanks to Rupert Price for bringing this error to my attention.

Macclesfield 2-1 Barnet   Banet 1-1 Luton Town
The Macc Lads had to replace Rooney to get their winning goal.

In other news, Bournemouth are safe, but Chester have to win their last game by 19 goals, with Grimsby losing by one, in order to avoid the drop (I think?). 25/04/2009

After much anticipation it ended with a respectable point each.

Good luck to Luton next season. You'll love Forest Green. To be honest, I'm a little envious! 18/04/2009

Interview with Paul Fairclough   Prince Edward Playing Fields
With work on the Bees' new training ground and academy at the Prince Edward's Playing Fields site in Canons Park now well under way, the BFCSA sent committee members Ben Kentish and Sam Norris to check out the latest developments.

They were shown around by Paul Fairclough and then caught up with Paul to discuss his new role and his hopes for the project. 18/04/2009

The BFCSA committee interviewed Paul Fairclough recently, while he showed two of us round the Prince Edward Playing Fields development.

See a video of the tour, embedded from YouTube. The full interview will be on this website on Saturday morning. 17/04/2009

Aldershot 1-1 Barnet   Barnet 1-0 Bournemouth
Another point.

Commiserations to Luton whose fate was sealed today. 13/04/2009

That goal was the cherry on the cake!

Another satisfying win at Underhill this afternoon. 11/04/2009

Barnet 2-0 Rotherham United   Gillingham 0-2 Barnet
They might be above us in the league...

... but we got ahead by a couple of Furlongs tonight! 07/04/2009

A glorious win in glorious sunshine!

Well worth twenty quid... 04/04/2009
